Biomat has three main temperature settings:
Low Temperature (green) 35 C - 40 C / 95 F - 104 F Optimal setting for overnight exposure to therapeutic effects of Negative Ions and Far infrared light during sleep.This settings stimulates deep sleep,rejuvenation,relief from fatigue and helps balance autonomic nervous system.
Middle Temperature (Yellow) 41 C - 60 C / 105 F - 140 F Ideal enhancement to acupuncture,massage therapy,prevention of illness,relaxation,slow gentle detoxification,pain and stress relief,removal of the excess of lactic acid accumulated in muscles after heavy physical activity,relaxation of tight muscles and joints,improvement of circulation and core body temperature for long term bedridden and handicapped,recuperation after surgery,supporting cancer therapy that reduces negative side effects of radiation,chemotherapy and hypothermia associated with cancer.
Low and Mid temperatures do not have any known contraindications.
High Temperature (red) 61 C - 70 C / 141 F - 158 F This is Far Infrared sauna settings! Recommended use is 40-60 minutes.Fast and deep detoxification,muscle and pain relief,first aid for frost bites and hypothermia,Flu and Cold prevention,sports rehab,total relaxation of body and mind.
High temperature setting is not recomende for; pregnant or nursing mothers,diabetics,hypertension,cardiostimulator implants and generally for people who are not allowed to take hot baths or sauna by their doctors.

a) The Bio-Mat thermotherapy stimulates Enzyme activity. When the core body temperature is increased by 1°C the Enzyme activity is improved by as much as 40%.
